The company had ceased operations around mid November and this whilst sad news for those losing their jobs comes as no surprise. As a fairly frequent user of the ferry line, so much nicer than the brash P&O service, it was always a lot quiter and reflected the amount of patronage. Why you might ask, strange one as they always seemed to be cheaper than P&O! What I hadn't realised till now is that the company rumoured to be heavily subsidised by the French (heaven forbid, shock horror) went into receivership in 2010 so had been looking for a buyer for quite a while. No doubt P&O and the Eurotunnel operations will not be shedding too mnay tears.
